LAMESA, TX (May 1, 2023) – Officers identified 50-year-old Donna Ruth Hinkle of Lubbock as the victim who died in a semi-truck accident on Highway 137 on April 27.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 3:40 PM.
 
Based on a report, Hinkle was headed north on the highway in a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, she drifted into the wrong lane and hit a Mack truck towing a trailer in the southbound lane.
 
As a result, Hinkle suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
This incident remains under investigation. As of now, no other details are available.
