PHOENIX, AZ (April 18, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on 9th Avenue on April 10.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at night near the intersection with Alice Avenue.
 
Based on a report, a vehicle struck the victim on the lanes. When officers arrived, they found the man in the roadway, but they did not release the circumstances that led to the crash.
 
Crews with Phoenix Fire Department tried to save the man but he died at the scene. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Police said the driver of the vehicle involved remained on the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
