Vehicle Catches Fire in Fatal Accident at Nevada National Security Site

 
MERCURY, NV (April 18, 2023) – The Nye County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two people died in a fiery car accident at the Nevada National Security Site on April 13.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened about 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, just off Highway 95 at approximately 1:14 AM.
 
Based on a report, two vehicles crashed at the site. Subsequently, one vehicle caught in the incident.
 
As a result, two people in the car that caught fire died. Authorities did not yet release their names, pending kin notification.
 
Emergency crews transported the driver of the other vehicle to UMC Trauma by Mercy Air.
 
The crash remains under investigation by Nevada State Police and the Nye County Sheriff’s office. At this point, no other details are available.
