FRESNO, CA (April 18, 2023) – Officers confirmed that a man died in a scooter accident on Highway 99 on April 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Fresno Street shortly before 1:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, a man was riding on a scooter in the slow lane or near the right shoulder at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, he was hit by at least three vehicles.
 
As a result, the rider suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release his identity, pending kin notification.
 
It is not known if alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash.
