Based on a report, 19-year-old Alan Nicolas Rios was driving a white Chevrolet Tahoe near the intersection at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, Rios struck Gomez who was riding a bicycle at that point. Subsequently, Rios fled the scene, without giving aid to the victim. As a result, Gomez suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officers later found Rios near Alamo Road and Texas Road.
