One Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Lawndale Street Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Lawndale Street in Houston HOUSTON, TX (June 17, 2024) - The Houston Police Department confirmed one person died in a pedestrian accident in the 6500 block of Lawndale Street on June 2. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 9:10 PM. Based on a report, the was crossing a crosswalk at the intersection at the time of the accident. Due to unknown reasons, a taco truck driver hit the victim and fled the scene. As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
