Yesenia Sanchez Killed, Another Pedestrian Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver in Pico Rivera

 
PICO RIVERA, CA (March 14, 2023) – The Los Angeles County Coroner identified 36-year-old Yesenia Sanchez of Los Angeles as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on March 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Rose Hills Road around 12:00 PM. Based on a report, Sanchez and another woman were walking southbound on the curb of Rooks Road at the time of the accident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle traveling in the same direction struck them.
 
However, the vehicle’s driver took off, continuing south of the road.
 
As a result, Los Angeles County firefighters said both women suffered grave injuries and Sanchez died at the scene.
 
The other victim was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
 
As of now, an investigation to identify the vehicle and its driver is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
