Wyatt Collins Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Crash on 82 Freeway at Milepost 86

 
PROSSER, WA (June 25, 2024) — A 20-year-old man identified as Wyatt Collins, of Toppenish, died in a motorcycle accident on Monday, June 10.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened on 82 Freeway at milepost 86, about four miles east of Prosser, shortly after 8:00 p.m.
 
WSP officials said Collins drove a motorcycle on 82 Freeway and tried to pass two semi-trucks. However, he crashed into both of them and the impact ejected him from his motorcycle.
 
Officials said Collins died at the hospital. In addition, they said wore a helmet when the crash happened.
 
Authorities identified the semi-truck drivers as Sukhdarshan Bassan and Leandro Dominguez. There are no reports of whether they sustained injuries in the incident.
 
It is not yet determined if impairment contributed as a factor in this collision.
 
WSP determined the cause of the accident was unsafe passing.
