TEMPE, AZ (February 28, 2025) — A man involved in a domestic violence incident was injured in a speeding crash on Tuesday, February 11.
 
Phoenix police responded to an apartment near Warner Road and 48th Street in Ahwatukee where a man and a woman were arguing.
 
A family member attempted to intervene, leading to the suspect sustaining injuries. The man then left the scene and drove toward Tempe.
 
Shortly after 12:00 p.m., he crashed into two vehicles at Warner Road and Priest Drive. Witnesses said he drove at a high rate of speed before the collision. Emergency responders transported him to the hospital as a precaution. Then officers booked him into jail after his medical release.
 
Tempe police initially reported the man had been shot in the head. However, Phoenix police later clarified that his injuries were not due to a shooting.
