BROWNSVILLE, TX (July 24, 2023) — Three people sustained injuries after a 18-wheeler crash on Padre Island Highway on Thursday, July 20.
 
According to Brownsville police, they received a call about a major accident at 9:03 a.m. at the 6900 block of Padre Island Highway. The report said an 18-wheeler crashed into a vehicle.
 
Paramedics transported one woman and two children to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
There are no reports yet on how the accident happened and if impairment played a role in the incident.
