Driver Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run on South Nevada Avenue in Colorado Springs

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (July 24, 2023) — A driver suffered injuries in a hit-and-run accident on South Nevada Avenue on Thursday, July 13.
 
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the crash happened in the 1600 block of South Nevada Avenue, just south of the 25 Freeway, just after noon.
 
CSPD said a vehicle traveled north on South Nevada Avenue. Then a truck turning left into a business parking lot from the southbound lanes collided with it. The impact caused it to strike a second vehicle.
 
Emergency responders transported the driver of the northbound vehicle to the hospital with serious injuries.
 
The truck, only described as an older model dark-colored Ford F150, made the left turn. It reportedly fled the area before police arrived.
 
As of writing, the pickup driver is still at large.
 
There had been no reports of arrests made in the accident.
