ARLINGTON, WA (November 19, 2024) — A woman sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Smokey Point Boulevard on Saturday, November 2.
 
According to the Arlington Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 11:00 p.m. in the 19300 block of Smokey Point Boulevard.
 
An initial investigation determined that the woman walked in the roadway. Then a passing vehicle struck her.
 
When officers arrived, they discovered the woman with serious injuries.
 
Emergency responders treated her at the scene. After that, North County Regional Fire Authority Emergency Medical Service took her to the Providence Hospital in Everett for further treatment.
 
The driver involved in the accident called the authorities and remained at the scene until they arrived.
 
Officers closed a portion of the roadway from 188th to 204th streets on Smokey Point Boulevard for several hours while they conducted an on-scene investigation. They reopened the roadway reopened on Sunday morning.
