Pedestrians Struck and Injured by Vehicle on Hover Street in Longmont

 
LONGMONT, CO (April 30, 2024) Longmont Public Safety confirmed that a woman suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident in the 1600 block of Hover Street on April 15.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 11:22 AM. Based on a report, the woman just exited her vehicle and was walking in a parking lot with a man at the time of the accident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle hit her and her companion. Police said the vehicle was reversing when the driver hit them, causing them to fall to the pavement. The driver said he did not see the pedestrians.
 
As a result, the woman was seriously hurt. Crews transported her to the hospital while the man drove to the hospital privately.
 
The driver was cited for careless driving causing injury. Police did not suspect drugs or alcohol in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
