One Fatally Injured in Colorado Springs Crash on Powers Boulevard and Old Ranch Road

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 30, 2024) — One person died in a multi-vehicle accident on Powers Boulevard on Friday, April 19.
 
According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department, the crash took place on Powers Boulevard near Old Ranch Road at about 2:50 p.m.
 
Fire officials responded to the scene and later reported that multiple vehicles and several patients were part of the incident. They then determined a vehicle moved southbound on Powers Boulevard. Then it crossed over into the northbound lanes of Powers and hit two other cars.
 
At around 5 p.m., police confirmed one of the involved parties died and two others sustained injuries.
 
Colorado Springs police said officers closed northbound Powers for several hours during investigation and clearing operations. They diverted the traffic to Union and Marksheffel.
