FRESNO, CA (November 10, 2022) – A woman suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on East Gettysburg Avenue on November 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at North First Street around 9:45 PM. Based on a report, the victim crossed the intersection outside a crosswalk prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, Fresno Police Lt. Robert Dewey said a driver did not see her and struck her.
 
As a result, the victim sustained significant injuries to the head. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital for surgery.
 
Police said the driver was traveling at the posted speed limit of 40 mph.
