PHOENIX, AZ (January 24, 2024) – Officials confirmed that a woman suffered serious injuries in a bicycle accident on 51st Avenue on January 19.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Indian School Road around 9:00 PM. Based on the report, the woman was riding her bicycle on a crosswalk before the crash.
 
At the same time, a truck was attempting to turn left onto Indian School Road. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle hit the victim. Police did not state who had the right-of-way.
 
As a result, the woman was seriously hurt in the incident. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and transported her to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
The truck driver stayed at the scene and police did not suspect impairment as a factor.
