Woman Dead, Three Juveniles Hospitalized after Fiery Crash in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 27, 2024) — A woman died and three teens were injured in a fiery accident on Cheyenne Avenue on Sunday, June 16.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the crash took place on Cheyenne Avenue, east of the 215 Freeway, at about 9:43 a.m.
 
Nevada State Police said that officers responded to the area. They pronounced one adult woman dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported three juveniles to hospital, and they were stable as of Sunday afternoon.
 
A witness said he was at the intersection when he saw the vehicle veer off the road. Then the vehicle crashed into a pole. He said that within seconds after the crash, the vehicle became engulfed in flames.
 
In addition, the witness said he saw Good Samaritans run toward the vehicle and remove the three children out safely. However, he said the driver’s door was jammed, and the group was unable to free the driver.
 
Authorities closed down Cheyenne Avenue and eastbound 215 Freeway at the 215/Cheyenne southbound offramp. They also closed Shadow Peak Road westbound at Cheyenne Avenue.
 
Nevada State Police continue to investigate what caused the crash.
