Woman Killed, Three Hurt in Head-On Accident on 35 Freeway [San Antonio, TX]

SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 16, 2024) — A head-on accident on 35 Freeway killed a woman and injured three others on Saturday, January 13.
 
According to San Antonio police, the incident happened just after 2:00 a.m. on the South 35 Freeway near West Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard.
 
Police said a 25-year-old woman drove south in the northbound lanes of the 35 Freeway. Then her vehicle crashed head-on with a second vehicle.
 
EMS pronounced the passenger in the second vehicle dead at the scene. The driver had multiple injuries. However, an initial report from SAPD said they were in good condition. A third passenger in the back was in critical condition.
 
Paramedics transported all three injured persons to a local hospital.
 
Police arrested the 25-year-old woman for intoxication assault, the report said.
