Woman Dies, Steve Read Ends Up Arrested After Sacramento Crash on North B Street

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (February 25, 2025) – A woman died, resulting in the arrest of Steve Read in a crash on North B Street on Wednesday night, February 19.

The fatal incident occurred near Dos Rios Street, according to the Sacramento Police Department which responded to the scene at around 8:00 p.m.

Officials stated that a truck being driven by a 62-year-old Read had slammed into a female pedestrian on North B Street, for reasons still undetermined.

The accident left the stricken woman dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Read did not stay at the collision site. He would later be tracked down on Fifth Street and I Street.

The case is still under investigation.
