Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Highway 50 in Dayton

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 18, 2023) – The Nevada State Police confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 50 on April 13.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Six Mile Canyon Road at approximately 7:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was walking on the highway at the time of the crash, possibly trying to cross the road. Due to unknown reasons, police said a car heading east on the highway hit her.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died at the scene. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews closed the highway in both directions, prompting motorists to take alternate route while clearing took place.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
