Fatal Head-On DUI Crash on Highway 132 in San Joaquin County

 
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (April 18, 2023) – Officers confirmed that two people died in a DUI crash on Highway 132 on April 9.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened early in the morning just east of Koster Road.
 
Based on a report, one of the suspects was driving a 2018 Mercedes on the wrong way of the highway prior to the crash. Subsequently, it crashed head-on into a 2016 Kia car.
 
As a result, two passengers in the Kia were pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office only identified them as Modesto residents.
 
Officers say both drivers also suffered major injuries. Police arrested them on suspicion of DUI.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
