MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX (October 25, 2022) – Police confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident on Farm-to-Market Road 2978 on October 18.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Gringo’s Mexican Restaurant around 8:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was leaving her job at the restaurant at the time of the crash. Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies said she was crossing the street to get to her apartment when a Ford Fusion going northbound struck her.
 
As a result, the victim died despite Magnolia firefighters and paramedics performing life-saving measures on her. Officials did not yet release the name of the victim, pending kin notification.
 
The female driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
