Woman Struck Killed by Vehicle on East Marginal Way South in Seattle
SEATTLE, WA (January 10, 2024) – The Seattle Police Department confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident on East Marginal Way South on January 4.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at South Orcas Street just before 5:00 AM. Based on a report, the woman was crossing the street outside a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, a sedan traveling northbound her.
As a result, emergency crews said the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Authorities did not release her name, pending kin notification.
Police said the sedan’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. A Drug Recognition Expert evaluated him and found no signs of impairment.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
