Fatal DUI Accident on 82 Freeway in Zillah

 
ZILLAH, WA (May 29, 2024) – Law enforcement confirmed that a woman died in a multi-vehicle accident on 82 Freeway on May 19.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near milepost 46 just before 11:00 PM. Based on a report, the woman was driving eastbound in the freeway’s westbound lanes before the crash.
 
Subsequently, her car hit another vehicle in the right lane. A third car then crashed into the second vehicle as well.
 
As a result, the woman suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Emergency crews transported one person to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
Police said the wrong-way driver was suspected of being under the influence at the time of the crash.
