Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Memorial Drive in Houston
HOUSTON, TX (September 24, 2024) – The Houston Police Department confirmed that a 22-year-old woman died in a motorcycle accident on Memorial Drive on September 11.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at South Piney Point around 8:53 PM. Based on a report, the victim was traveling east on Memorial Drive at the time of the crash.
At the same time, a Subaru was traveling west on the same road. Subsequently, the Subaru attempted to turn left onto South Piney Point and the motorcycle struck its front right side.
As a result, the rider suffered grave injuries in the crash. Emergency crews airlifted the victim to a nearby hospital, where she later died. Officials did not release her identity, pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Subaru stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
