Fatal Motorcycle Accident on North 30th Street in Colorado Springs

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (September 24, 2024) – The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident on North 30th Street on September 3.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened at Boardwalk Drive around 3:57 PM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a motorcycle near the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
Police said the motorcycle rider crossed over the center of the road traveling north on 30th Street and struck an oncoming car heading south on the same route.
 
As a result, the rider suffered grave injuries in the incident. Police said the Colorado Springs Fire Department and American Medical Response teams arrived to help, but the victim died at the scene. Officials did not release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
CSPD said they do not yet know if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
