Woman Dead, Man Hospitalized after Tucson Pedestrian Accident on Valencia Road

 
TUCSON, AZ (November 7, 2023) — A woman died after a pedestrian accident on West Valencia Road at around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 22.
 
According to the Tucson Police Department, the fatal accident happened on West Valencia Road and South Midvale Park Road. The incident involved a silver 2011 GMC Canyon and two pedestrians.
 
Detectives determined an adult male and adult female pedestrians ran across Valencia Road from south to north on the road. Then a westbound vehicle struck them both.
 
TPD said paramedics transported the adult male pedestrian to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
Authorities pronounced the adult female pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Officers determined intoxication was not a factor at the time of the crash. However, there are no reports of charges or citations issued in connection to the incident.
