Woman Dies in San Antonio Car Accident on Babcock Road
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 19, 2024) — A woman died following a car accident on Babcock Road on Thursday, September 12.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the accident happened just before 7:00 a.m. off Babcock Road near Coyle Place.
San Antonio Police said a woman crossed the street a truck hit her. The 57-year-old male driver of the vehicle instantly went out to check on the woman. That is when another passing vehicle struck him. The driver of the second vehicle kept driving and left them both lying in the street.
San Antonio emergency crews responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. They also rushed the man to the hospital.
Police described the second vehicle as a mid-sized, light-colored SUV that traveled southeast on Babcock Road after the incident. They said they would charge the driver who fled with collision involving death.
