PHOENIX, AZ (September 28, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that a woman died in a hit-and-run on 91st Avenue on September 23.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Indian School Road around 1:15 AM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing Indian School Road at the time of the crash.
 
She was mid-block when a car heading eastbound struck her. Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle left the scene.
 
When officers arrived, they found the victim with serious injuries. Crews transported her to the hospital, where she later died. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Officials did not yet have any information about a possible suspect in the crash.
