Fatal Crash on Rainbow Boulevard and Westcliff Drive in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 11, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that a 44-year-old woman died in a crash on Rainbow Boulevard on January 2.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Westcliff Drive. Based on a report, the victim was driving a Nissan south of the intersection in the single travel lane.
 
At the same time, a 30-year-old woman was driving a Toyota eastbound on Westcliff Drive. Due to unknown reasons, the victim failed to stop at the red traffic signal and struck the Toyota.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Crews transported her to UMC Trauma, where she later died. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries and showed no signs of impairment.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
