LAFAYETTE, CO (October 10, 2024) – The Lafayette Police Department confirmed that a 63-year-old woman suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Public Road on October 1.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened near Flatirons Church. Based on a report, the pedestrian was crossing the road at the time of the crash.
 
As a vehicle turned northbound onto Public Road from Flatirons Church, it hit the victim.
 
As a result, the woman suffered injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported her to the hospital for treatment. Police did not know the extent of her injuries.
 
Authorities determined the 76-year-old driver of the vehicle to be at fault. She remained on the scene and may face charges related to the accident.
