SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (February 15, 2025) – A woman sustained injuries following a crash on Interstate 80 on Friday morning, February 7.

The incident occurred east of Elkhorn Boulevard at around 2:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officials stated that a Honda Pilot being driven by a woman had figured in an accident on eastbound I-80, for reasons still undetermined.

The Pilot ended up stopping in the middle of the road, blocking two center lanes. An eastbound Chevrolet Express, operated by a man, then slammed into the woman.

The force of impact inflicted major injuries to the woman, prompting respondents to conduct a medical transport to a local hospital for treatment.
