Woman Dies in Glendale Pedestrian Accident on 43rd Avenue
GLENDALE, AZ (October 23, 2024) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on 43rd Avenue on Tuesday, October 8.
According to the Phoenix Police, the accident occurred at about 9:00 p.m. on 43rd Avenue near Missouri Avenue, just north of Camelback Road.
Police said the woman tried to cross the road when a vehicle struck her. After that, two other vehicles hit the woman.
The woman died due to sustained injuries in the incident. Police said she reportedly walked into traffic before the accident. Her identity was not immediately released.
The driver of the first vehicle fled the scene and there is currently no available description of that vehicle. Meanwhile, the drivers of the second and third vehicles remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Officers closed 43rd Avenue at Missouri Avenue as they conducted an on-scene investigation. It has since reopened.
