Fatal Las Vegas Pedestrian Accident on Lake Mead Boulevard at Pecos Road

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (March 28, 2024) — A 62-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Lake Mead Boulevard on Thursday, March 21.
 
According to Metro Police, the incident took place on Lake Mead Boulevard at Pecos Road at around 10:25 p.m.
 
Police said the car traveled headed west on Lake Mead. Then the woman, who was in the crosswalk, walked into its path on a “Don’t Walk” signal.
 
Emergency responders brought the woman to University Medical Center, where medical personnel pronounced her dead. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
The driver only identified as a 68-year-old North Las Vegas man stayed at the scene. He did not show any signs of intoxication.
 
Police continue to investigate the crash.
 
The incident marks the 42nd traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction for 2024.
