PHOENIX, AZ (September 23, 2024) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on 35th Avenue on Monday, September 9.
 
According to the Phoenix police, the pedestrian accident occurred at around 10:45 p.m. near 35th Avenue and Dunlap Avenue.
 
Detectives determined the victim tried to cross Dunlap Avenue outside of any marked crosswalks. Then a vehicle struck her.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the woman with serious injuries.
 
Emergency responders also arrived and attempted life-saving measures on the woman. However, medical officers later pronounced her dead at the hospital. Her identity was not immediately available.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation. Police said there were no signs of intoxication.
