KENT, WA (September 12, 2024) — A 35-year-old Seattle woman died in a pedestrian accident on 124th Avenue on Friday, September 6.
 
According to the Kent police, the incident happened just before 4:00 a.m. on 124th Avenue near Kent-Kangley Road.
 
Footage of the scene showed a white SUV with a dented hood and a smashed windshield.
 
Firefighters and medics responded to the area and attempted to save the woman. However, she still succumbed to her injuries and died, Puget Sound Fire said.
 
A sergeant at the scene said that the involved driver cooperated with police. Investigators do not believe impairment or speed contributed as factors in the incident.
 
Officials closed the roadway for about three hours after the fatal collision.
