SEATTLE, WA (August 21, 2024) — A woman sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run on 5 Freeway on Sunday, August 4.
 
According to Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred on 5 Freeway at South Albro Place near Boeing Field shortly before 1:00 a.m.
 
WSP officials said a woman entered the northbound 5 Freeway at S Albro Place. Then two vehicles struck her.
 
A vehicle in the third lane first struck her. Then a second vehicle traveling northbound hit the woman.
 
Responding officers pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
 
The second vehicle fled the scene. Officials believe it was possibly a semi-truck.
