Willius Ventura Fatally Struck in Tucson Pedestrian Accident

 
TUCSON, AZ (January 22, 2024) — A man, 35-year-old Willius Ventura, died in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday, January 17.
 
According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, shortly after 7:00 p.m. near the South Palo Verde Street and East Irvington Road.
 
Police said Ventura ran into the road. Then he hit the side of a passing car and fell.
 
The news release said a second vehicle may have possibly struck him.
 
Emergency responders administered life-saving measures at the scene.  After that, they transferred Ventura to a nearby hospital where he died of sustained injuries.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
 
The incident is the seventh pedestrian crash fatality in Pima County this 2024.
