Wayne Kimball Dead after Tucson Pedestrian Accident

 
TUCSON, AZ (October 10, 2023) — A 60-year-old man identified as Wayne Aaron Kimball died in a pedestrian accident on Sunday, September 16.
 
According to Tucson Police, Kimball stepped onto West Fort Lowell Road at 11:50 p.m. just east of North Oracle Road. Then a motorcycle struck him.
 
The motorcyclist swerved yet still struck the Kimball. The impact of the crash also ejected the rider from the motorcycle.
 
Paramedics transported both the motorcyclist and Kimball to Banner University Medical Center.
 
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries. Kimball sustained critical injuries and died at the hospital on Monday.
 
An investigation determined that the motorcyclist did not have the right motorcycle endorsement connected with his license.
 
Meanwhile, officers also found out that Kimball had drugs in his system. In addition, he was not in a marked or unmarked crosswalk when the collision happened.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
