Pedestrian Tyrone Anderson Identified in Fatal Amarillo Accident

 
AMARILLO, TX (January 5, 2023) – Officials identified 53-year-old Tyrone Anderson as the victim who died in an accident on Amarillo Boulevard on December 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Grand Street around 7:40 AM. Based on a report, the victim was in a wheelchair at the time of the crash.
 
He was in the center turn lane when he was hit by a brown pickup.
 
As a result, Anderson suffered severe injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported him to the hospital, where he later died.
 
The driver of the pickup was taken into custody but has not been charged.
