Tyler White Killed and Two Women Injured after Multi-Vehicle Accident in Arlington
ARLINGTON, TX (December 23, 2024) — A 31-year-old man identified as Tyler White died in a multi-vehicle accident on Saturday, December 14.
Arlington Police said the accident occurred on the 300 block of North Watson Road near Division Street at about 1:00 a.m.
Investigators determined that the 42-year-old woman drove a 2016 Hyundai Veloster along North Watson Road. Then she lost control of her car, and it went off the roadway. She then called family members for help.
White, who drove a 2004 GMC Yukon, arrived at the scene. After that, he activated his hazard lights and then parked in the right lane.
He and the 42-year-old woman tried to retrieve a tow cable from the Yukon. Then a BMW X1 SUV traveling at a high speed hit them both and the Yukon.
When officers arrived at the area, they discovered White and a 42-year-old woman lying on the ground with injuries.
Medical officers pronounced White dead at the hospital. Friends made a GoFundMe to help his bereaved wife and children.
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old woman remains in critical condition.
First responders also extricated the 34-year-old woman who drove the BMW. She is also in critical condition at a local hospital.
Police said impairment may have played a role in the incident.
Charges will depend on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
