Tyler Stearns Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (May 23, 2023) – Phoenix police identified 24-year-old Tyler Stearns who died in a motorcycle crash on Cave Creek Road on May 16.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Hatcher Road. Based on a report, Stearns was walking in a marked crosswalk against a “do not cross” signal at the time of the crash. Then, an SUV that was driving south on Cave Creek struck him.
 
As a result, Stearns suffered serious injuries in the incident. He was then rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
 
The driver stayed on the scene where police say they appeared to have no signs of impairment.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
