SCOTTSDALE, AZ (April 29, 2024) – Officials confirmed that two people suffered serious injuries in an accident on Loop 101 on April 13.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Scottsdale Road. Based on a report, one of the victims was driving the wrong-way on Loop 101 before the crash.
 
Shortly after police received the first reports of the wrong-way vehicle, it crashed into a wall near Scottsdale Road. That then led to a three-vehicle collision.
 
As a result, the wrong-way driver and at least one person in the first vehicle hit suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No one was hurt in the third vehicle.
