According to Scottsdale Police, the crash occurred along McDowell Road, just west of Scottsdale Road, around 6:00 a.m.
 
Emergency responders arrived at the scene. They then transported the bicyclist to the hospital with serious injuries.
 
The vehicle that struck the bike left the scene after the accident.
