Two Men Dead in Two-Vehicle Accident on East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Sloan Lane

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 23, 2024) — Two people died in a two-vehicle accident on East Lake Mead Boulevard on Sunday, October 13.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Department, the accident occurred at about 1:00 a.m. near the intersection of East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Sloan Lane.
 
LVMPD said a 2003 Mercedes Benz traveled at a high rate of speed west on Lake Mead Boulevard. At the same time, a 1991 Honda Prelude traveled east on the road.
 
Then the Mercedes Benz struck the center median. It caused the vehicle to cross the center lane into the path of the Honda. It resulted in the Honda crashing into the passenger side of the Mercedes.
 
Medical responders arrived at the scene. Then they pronounced the 20-year-old man in the Mercedes and the 22-year-old man in the Honda dead at the scene.
 
The LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section continues to investigate the collision.
