According to Nevada State Police, the crash happened at 6:55 a.m. on the 11 Freeway at mile marker 12.
 
Police said responding officers pronounced an adult man and an adult woman dead at the scene.
 
The crash temporarily closed all northbound and southbound lanes on the 11 Freeway from the Highway 95 Junction to Boulder City Parkway.
 
Officers advised motorists to avoid the area. The investigation of the incident is ongoing.
