Pedestrians Struck and Killed by Four Vehicles on 90 Freeway in Kittitas County

 
KITTITAS COUNTY, WA (September 14, 2023) – Officials confirmed that two people died in a pedestrian accident on westbound 90 Freeway on September 10.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at milepost 70, about 13 miles west of Cle Elum shortly before 9:00 PM. Based on a report, the victims were crossing the freeway at the time of the crash. Police said they were not using a designated crosswalk.
 
Due to unknown reasons, three vehicles and a patrol car hit them.
 
As a result, the pedestrians suffered grave injuries and both died in the incident. Officials did not yet release their names, pending kin notification.
 
Police said the cause of the crash was illegal crossing. The WSP confirmed that the fourth car involved in the crash was a Dodge Charger driven by a Trooper.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
