Two Dead in Houston Wrong-Way Accident on 10 Freeway

 
HOUSTON, TX (December 6, 2023) — Two people died and another suffered injuries in a wrong-way crash on 10 Freeway on Sunday, November 5.
 
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to East 10 Freeway at Freeport Street about the crash at around 12:00 a.m.
 
The HCSO previously received other calls about a vehicle that moves the wrong way on the 10 Freeway and law enforcement officers continue to search for it. Then they received the call about the incident.
 
Reports said the wrong way driver traveled west in the eastbound lanes. Then their vehicle collided with another car, and both vehicles caught fire.
 
The wrong way driver and a passenger died in the crash. Officials did not specify what vehicle the deceased passenger was in.
 
Paramedics transported the other driver to a local hospital in serious condition.
 
Deputies have not yet determined if the wrong way driver was under the influence. They also have not released the identities of the victims.
