Two Killed While Changing Tire on 25 Freeway in Broomfield

 
BROOMFIELD, CO (October 11, 2023) – Broomfield Police confirmed that two people died in an accident on 25 Freeway on October 6.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened between 144th Avenue and Highway 7 around 10:15 PM. Based on a report, the victims were changing a flat tire on the side of the freeway at the time of the crash.
 
Investigators said another vehicle traveling northbound on the highway hit the victims’ parked car on the side of the road.
 
As a result, one person inside the car and another one outside the car died at the scene. Officials did not yet release their names, pending kin notification.
 
Police said three other people, including a child, had serious injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
