Two Killed in Fort McDowell Accident on Bush Highway near Sheep’s Crossing Recreation Site
FORT MCDOWELL, AZ (September 22, 2023) — Two people died and two others suffered injuries after a fiery crash on Bush Highway.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the crash took place near Bush Highway and Sheep’s Crossing Recreation Site shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Friday, September 1.
When deputies arrived at the crash site, they discovered two vehicles involved in a head-on crash. One vehicle was on fire.
Paramedics pronounced the drivers of both vehicles dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their identities pending next of kin notification.
Emergency responders also transported one passenger from each vehicle to the hospital. Both suffered life-threatening injuries.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office counties to investigate the incident.
